About the Speaker

Prof. Hak-Jong Choi received my Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, in 2001. I also worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Pathology at the University of Chicago and as a researcher at Northwestern University School of Medicine. I joined the World Institute of Kimchi in 2012 and served as Director of the Research and Development Division, where I research the various health benefits of probiotics and their effectiveness in alleviating intractable diseases. To date, 107 international academic papers have been published, over 50 dometic and international patents have been registered, and 19 technology transfers have been made.
