About the Speaker

Dr. Maryam Tajabadi Ebrahimi is a distinguished Iranian microbiologist, academic, and entrepreneur. She holds a PhD in Microbiology and serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at the Islamic Azad University, Tehran Central Branch. Dr. Tajabadi is also the CEO and founder of Takgene Zist Group, a biotechnology company specializing in probiotic products and dairy starters. In addition to her academic and entrepreneurial roles, Dr. Tajabadi is actively involved in scientific publishing. She is a member of the editorial board and serves as the editor-in-chief of the "Journal of Applied Microbiology in Food Industries," a peer-reviewed scientific journal. Her contributions to the field have been recognized both nationally and internationally. Dr. Tajabadi was awarded the Amin al-Dawlah Medal in 2024 for her outstanding achievements in the food industry. She has also been honored with the Rania Award, presented by the First Lady of Malaysia, recognizing her as one of the leading women in science and industry.
