About the Speaker
Prof Dr Tai-Ying Chiou received his Master’s degree from National Taiwan University and his Ph.D. from Kyoto University in Japan. After working in the private sector in Japan for about three years, he joined Kitami Institute of Technology, where he is currently an Associate Professor and Principal Investigator of the Food Processing Engineering Laboratory. His research focuses on the functional analysis of lactic acid bacteria, subcritical fluid extraction, and fine particle processing technology.
